2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Shopify. The provider for users in the EU is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed, such as your IP address, date and time, browser type and the page visited. This serves the secure and stable provision of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is stored only for as long as these purposes require. Data may be transferred to Shopify Inc. in Canada, for which an adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We have a data processing agreement with Shopify under Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Cookies
This site uses only technically necessary cookies, for example for password protection and security. The legal basis is § 25(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.

4. Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address to send you news and offers (e.g. discount codes) about our wax melts and candles. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing your email address is voluntary, but without it we cannot send you the newsletter.

We use the double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive an email asking you to confirm your sign-up. As proof of your consent, we store the time of sign-up and confirmation and your IP address.

Newsletters are sent via Shopify Email (provider: see section 2). We analyse statistically whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked, to improve our content. This analysis is covered by your consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to hello@ivyandbaer.de. After you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from the mailing list. We may keep it on a block list to make sure you receive no further newsletters (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Social media
We run profiles on social networks to present our products and to stay in touch with you. When you visit our profiles, the platform processes your data under its own privacy policy, often also for advertising purposes. We have no influence over this.

The platforms provide us with aggregated statistics on how our profiles are used (e.g. reach, interactions and general demographic information). We do not receive data about individual visitors. We are jointly responsible with the platform for these statistics (Art. 26 GDPR). If you send us a message or comment on a post on the platform, we process your details in order to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our business and communicating with interested parties and customers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about orders.

You can exercise your rights (section 7) against us and against the platform. As only the platform has full access to the data, it is best to contact it directly. The platforms may transfer data to countries outside the EU, in particular the USA.

On this website we link to our profiles using simple links only. No data is passed to the platform until you click a link.

Instagram: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. Meta has taken on primary responsibility for the statistics in an agreement: Insights controller addendum. Privacy policy: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy. Meta bases transfers to the USA on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
